Dr. Sarah McAteer
B.HK, D.C.
Family Chiropractor
I was born and raised in Vancouver, BC where I graduated from The University of British Columbia with a Bachelor Degree in Human Kinetics. After pursuing employment opportunities out East, I enrolled at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and the rest is history.
I strongly believe in treating the underlying cause of the problem, rather than the symptoms. With an extensive athletic background, including over 20 years as an elite soccer coach and varsity athlete, I strive to ensure every patient can maintain a healthy and active lifestyle.
At the Whitby Chiropractic Wellness Centre, we aim to create a happy, healthy community, one family at a time. As an active member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, I am constantly expanding my knowledge to provide the best care for my pediatric patients, to ensure each child is functioning at their best. I have also achieved my Certificate of Proficiency in Pediatric and Family Chiropractic, completing
the 80-Hours of postdoctoral training sponsored by the Life University Department of Postgraduate Education and The Pediatric Experience. My promise to your whole family is this — I got you!
Mama’s to be – I am certified through the ICPA to practice the Webster Technique, as helping women throughout the various stages of pregnancy is a passion of mine. As a Durham Region Team Leader for Flora’s Walk, I am also an advocate for raising the standard of perinatal mental health with the CPMHC. I am also currently undergoing the 32-hour training for my Canadian Certificate in Perinatal Mental Health.
When I’m not at the clinic you can find me out West, on a trail, doing yoga, or sitting lakeside with a book.
